I am a post-baccalaureate research fellow through the University of Washington. My undergraduate institution was the University of South Florida, where I majored in Cell & Molecular biology and minored in Chemistry. Previously, I worked in an evolutionary biology lab investigating immunogene expression in house sparrows. During my fellowship, I’ll be contributing to the APEX project for characterizing Gag-proximal cellular proteins. A fun fact about me is that I used to do taekwondo and even took second place in a state sparring match! Ultimately, I’d like to pursue a career doing research in molecular microbiology and immunology.
